Nurse Network

The MSHO Nurse Network was formed in 1999 to provide clinical education and networking opportunities to Michigan’s oncology nurses caring for patients in community practices and clinics, research offices and hospital inpatient departments.

We promote local and statewide educational opportunities for our nurses and host an annual retreat each spring.  This meeting is always well attended by nurses from across the state practicing in a variety of settings.  MSHO supports local ONS chapter efforts and considers our Nurse Network a complimentary rather than competitive organization.

MSHO is proud to offer OCN workshops to our nurses. This concise review course is designed to meet the needs of oncology nurses in the ambulatory setting.  Those nurses who are preparing for the OCN exam as well as nurses seeking a comprehensive oncology review will benefit from this curriculum.  We celebrate our nurses’ achievements by providing an OCN pin to those who notify us when they pass their certification test.
