Comprehensive Cancer Care with Academic Institution
Michigan State University in collaboration with McLaren Greater Lansing and Karmanos Cancer Institute is recruiting a Hematology/Oncology physician in Lansing, Michigan.  Join a team of six board certified Hematology Oncologists at McLaren Greater Lansing/Karmanos Cancer Network’s new hospital campus adjacent to Michigan State University’s campus.  This clinical/academic position with split time as faculty to Michigan State University School of Medicine’s Hem/Onc fellowship program which graduates two fellows per year.  On-site support will include a pharmacy and clinical pharmacist, lab, clinical trial coordinator, certified genetic counselors, nurse navigators, social workers and financial navigators.  Qualified candidates will be BE/BC.  Candidates with a subspecialty interest in Breast and Thoracic are encouraged to apply.

This opportunity will include participation in education of medical students, residents and hematology/oncology fellows. The candidate is expected to participate in translational/clinical trials and to collaborate with other medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and scientists. MSU has an expanding community based medical school, and growing hematology/oncology clinical and translational research division. As a founding member of the NSABP and a member of SWOG, our active clinical trials program includes cooperative group, industry supported and investigator-initiated trials.

Facility Highlights
McLaren Greater Lansing, a tertiary teaching facility with 310 acute care beds, located in Lansing, Michigan. This medical center is home to cardiac programs; state-of-the-art clinical centers for oncology and women and children’s health; medical/surgical units; and a full-service pharmacy. Its residency programs are affiliated with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and the Statewide Campus System. Residencies include family medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, obstetric/gynecological surgery, orthopedic surgery, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Fellowships are offered in cardiology, hematology/oncology, and sports medicine. McLaren Greater Lansing also participates in a citywide emergency medicine residency program.
