MDHHS Director Massey Leaving for Federal Position

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) announced that Kate Massey, senior deputy director of the Behavioral and Physical Health and Aging Services Administration (BPHASA) will be leaving her position to take a job in Washington, D.C. at the end of May.

Director Massey will be moving to her new position as executive director of the Medicaid and CHIP Payment Access Commission. This commission is a non-partisan legislative branch agency that makes recommendations to different departments and federal and state legislative branches on issues affecting Medicaid the State Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

More information around who will fill Director Masset's position is forthcoming. Her last day at BPHASA will be May 20.
