ASH is now accepting applications for the ASH Congressional Fellowship, a year-long opportunity, available for one ASH member starting in September 2021, that will place a hematologist on Capitol Hill to work in a congressional office and help shape health care and hematology policy. The current fellow, Dr. Jerome Seid, is taking a year sabbatical from his practice at the Great Lakes Cancer Management Specialists and will spend his time as a Fellow working in the Office of Sen. Jacky Rosen (NV). As a practicing hematologist, Dr. Seid will share his valuable expertise and insight on practice-related policy issues with Congress. ASH News Daily interviewed Dr. Seid about his experience.
