Guide to the Trump Administration's Drug Importation Final Rule and Guidance

On September 24, 2020, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (the HHS Secretary) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA or Agency) issued a final rule (the Final Rule) implementing a provision of law allowing the commercial importation of certain prescription drugs from Canada through FDA-authorized, time-limited programs sponsored by states or Indian tribes, and, in certain future circumstances, pharmacists and wholesalers.  READ MORE
