NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Guidelines® and the NCCN Compendium® for Esophageal and Esophagogastric Cancer
NCCN has published updates to the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®) and the NCCN Drugs & Biologics Compendium (NCCN Compendium®) for Esophageal and Esophagogastric Cancer. These NCCN Guidelines® are currently available as Version 2.2017.
- Workup (ESOPH-1)
- Recommendation was revised: “Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), if no evidence of M1 unresectable disease”.
- Squamous cell carcinoma and Adenocarcinoma
- Additional Evaluation (as clinically indicated) (ESOPH-2 and ESOPH-11)
- Recommendation was revised: “Consider nasogastric or J tube (preferred) enteric feeding tube (jejunostomy tube preferred) or PEG tube for preoperative nutritional support.”
- Principles of Surveillance (ESOPH-I)
- The recommendations in this section were extensively revised.
