ASCO Releases Conceptual Value Framework

ASCO published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology a conceptual framework for assessing the value of new cancer treatment options based on clinical benefit, side effects, and cost. The framework will serve as the basis for simple, standardized tools that doctors can use with their patients to discuss the relative value of new cancer therapies compared with existing ones. Review the framework and submit comments through August 21 at asco.org/value.
