Charge Entry Specialist

Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, responsible for processing all provider charges in an accurate and timely manner. Provides continuity of flow of incoming and outgoing communication and follows up on outstanding items as necessary to provide excellent service.

Required:

• High school graduate or equivalant
• 18 months of current charge entry or medical billing experience

Preferred:

• Experience with insurance provider based billing procedures
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• Medical Coding/Billing Certification
