Beaumont Health System in Dearborn, MI is seeking a full time Patient Accounts Specialist

Requirements:

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year of patient accounting experience
• Skills & Abilities: Excellent data entry skills; good telephone communication skills, good persuasion skills; ability to independently follow office procedures and job instructions and use good judgment in determining when assistance is needed; basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology.

Description:

• Provide technical support to the department and the patient accounting process through initiating and completing charges, maintaining departmental data and resolving problems in the patient billing process.
• Independently handles all the technical departmental charges.
• Operates under general supervision; performs responsibilities in accordance with stated policies/procedures to ensure efficient operations with a focus on supporting Physicians, Clinical staff and Management which embodies the "Service Excellence" philosophy to promote customer satisfaction.
