T. Trevor Singh, M.D., FACP

Trevor Singh is the MSHO Board of Directors' most international member. Born in the former British Guiana, South America, he is also a naturalized citizen of the United States and the United Kingdom. Dr. Singh attended British Jesuit High School, Woolwich Polytechnic in London and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland to prepare for his Medical Degree. His post-graduate training took place at McLaren Regional Medical Center/Michigan State University where he completed his Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship.

Since 1977, Dr. Singh has been in private practice, but continues his association with Michigan State as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the MSU College of Human Medicine. His academic achievements include being associated with over 80 published articles. He has been an executive member of the Community Oncology program in Flint. His research committee memberships include the MSU Cancer Treatment Consortium, NSABP and Southwest Oncology Group as well as being an NCI investigator.

Dr. Singh has been Chairman of the Cancer Committee at McLaren Regional Medical Center since 1979, where he initiated both the Tumor Registry and the Institutional Review Board.

In addition to his participation in the Genesee County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society, the Medical Society of Clinical Oncology and the Royal Medical Society of the Univeristy of Edinburgh, he has been a Fellow of the Royal Medical Society in London, U.K. and is currently a Fellow of American Oncology Physicians.

In spite of his busy schedule, Dr. Singh is an avid student of all things scientific. The Science News is his favorite publication and he enjoys shows like Wired, Nova and This Old House. If he hadn't chosen a medical career, it is likely that he would have been an engineer. He designed his current home that uses geothermal energy.

Dr. Singh's family includes his wife and three accomplished children. They all enjoy traveling and are huge Spartan fans.
