Speaker Bio:
Andrew B. Wachler is a partner with Wachler & Associates, P.C. Mr. Wachler has been practicing healthcare law for over 30 years. He counsels healthcare providers, suppliers and organizations nationwide in a variety of healthcare legal matters. In addition, he writes and speaks nationally to professional organizations and other entities on healthcare law topics such as Medicare and 3rd party payor appeals, Stark law and Fraud and Abuse, regulatory compliance, enrollment and revocation, and other topics. He often co-speaks with Medicare and other government officials. Mr. Wachler has met with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policy makers on numerous occasions to effectuate changes to Medicare policy and obtain fair and equitable reimbursement for health systems.

Mr. Wachler is recognized as a Fellow of State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section.
He currently serves on the Program Planning Committee for AHLA’s Institute on Medicare and Medicaid Payment Issues. Mr. Wachler previously served on the Editorial Board of the ABA Health Law Section publication. The Health Lawyer, and has also served as Vice Chair of the ABA Health Law Section Payment and Reimbursement Interest Group, Vice Chair of the ABA Health Law Section Healthcare Policy Task Force. He has been named as a Super Lawyer since 2006, and listed in U.S. News’ Best Lawyers in America and Business magazine's Top Lawyers in Metro Detroit every year since 2009. He was also one of two healthcare lawyers named as top 100 lawyers in Michigan by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2018 and 2019.

CEU Information:
This program has been approved for 1.0 continuing education unit by PMI for those holding a CMOM or CMOM-HEMONC credential.

This program meets AAPC guidelines for 1.0 CEUs. Can be used for Core A and all specialties except CIRCC for continuing education units.
